Ladies - Weights and getting 'bulky'

Many ladies avoid training with weights in case they make them look ‘bulky’ or ‘manly’.

However, weight training may do the opposite. Training with weights is a great way to lose fat because it increases muscle mass. The more muscle mass you have, the faster your metabolism will be, and the faster you will burn calories.

Cardio is an important form of exercise for many reasons, but don’t limit your progress by being afraid to try anything else. Although you will burn calories as you perform your cardio, the calorie burning will stop when you stop training. However, when training with weights the calorie burning continues long after you finish.
